Lane County Parks Levy

When Lane County decided to place on the November 2022 ballot its first-ever local option levy request to support Lane County Parks, they turned to Funk/Levis for help with a countywide information campaign.  The team developed a strategy to reach voters with information about the proposed measure, the projects to be funded, and answers to common questions, working with the Oregon Secretary of State to secure approval of all the materials.  The information campaign included a user-friendly website, lawn signs with QR codes to display across the county, printed materials and a voter mailer, getting important information to voters across a county the size of Connecticut.

“We had the pleasure of working with Anne Marie and her team at Funk/Levis on an informational campaign for a parks funding measure. Funk/Levis helped us distill our need and the complicated elements of the measure into a succinct set of messages and materials for voters, as well as created beautiful branding. Anne Marie was a key part of this effort and in passing the measure by a wide margin across the community.”

When Yes for Lane County Parks political action committee (PAC) formed in support of the parks levy, they also engaged the Funk/Levis team.  The advocacy campaign was an opportunity to work with the PAC to develop and implement a full strategy including a website to facilitate fundraising and endorsements, print materials and lawn signs, community presentations, traditional media outreach and social media mobilization.  All the hard work paid off with a resounding win for the Lane County Parks levy, and for parks, water and nature in the community.

“When the County placed a tax measure to support our parks on the ballot, we knew we would need help telling our story to the voters. The team at Funk/Levis mobilized, bringing expertise and great energy to our countywide campaign.  Anne Marie and her team provided strategy, messaging, creative design, and media engagement that made all the difference.  We had a short timeline, and they helped us with messaging and a winning plan to reach voters. Our measure passed with broad support. Working with Funk/Levis made all the difference in our success.”
